PRESENTATION OBJECTIVES:

1.  To understand the cellular mechanisms underlying neuron death
during a necrotic neurological insult.

2.  To understand how gene therapy strategies may be used to protect
neurons from such insults.

3.  To understand how such gene transfer techniques might be extended
to use against psychiatric disorders, and to alter normative brain
function, particularly during stress.
