PRESENTATION OBJECTIVES
At
the conclusion of this presentation, the participants will be able to:
- Compare and contrast locomotor recovery
for rats and mice
- Describe why the BBB scale lacks sensitivity
in mice
- Judge the importance of establishing
reliability and validity for all behavioral outcome measures
- Synthesize the patterns and extents
of locomotor recovery for 5 commonly used strains of mice
- Evaluate the relevance and usefulness
of the Basso Mouse Scale for Locomotion as a measure of recovery of function
after SCI.
