Dear Colleague:
Hello and
Welcome to the home page of Women in Neurotrauma Research (WiNTR).
The goal of WiNTR is to promote the careers of women and
minorities in neurotrauma research at each level of academia, as
well as in other organizations such as nonprofit, government, industry,
and business.
We hope that
you will peruse this site for further information, and that you
will join us by becoming
a member of WINTR. WiNTR is an organization for all ALL
persons interested in promoting the careers of women and minorities
in the field of neurotrauma research, including men!
Prior
to the National Neurotrauma Society 2005 meeting in Washington,
DC, we will hold an organizational meeting to discuss WiNTR initiatives
on Wednesday, November 9th from 2:00 - 5:00 PM. Please join
us, as we welcome your ideas and visions! All members of WINTR as
well as potential members are invited. Following the organizational
meeting there will be a ticketed reception which is open to all
NNS attendees. Tickets can be purchased in advance when you
register for the NNS 2005 Symposium.
With
a new Executive Committee, a new logo (thanks to the logo contest
winner, Dr. Eftekhar Eftekharpour at Toronto Western Research Institute)
and a new year, we are looking forward to major advancements in
the field and to upcoming events and opportunities to grow.
We hope you will be a part of our development and accomplishments.
All the
best,
Diane
