Cognitive
Dysfunction, Phosphatases & TBI
Edward
Dixon, Univ. of Pittsburgh
At
the conclusion of this presentation, attendees will be able to:
- Describe
key cellular functions of protein phosphatase 2B (calcineurin)
- Recognize
how both synaptic plasticity and memory is thought to depend on the balance
between opposing molecular regulatory factors, including protein kinases and
phosphatases.
- Discuss
the effects of TBI on calcineurin signaling.
- Discuss
the therapeutic potential of calcineurin inhibition in TBI
