MICHELLE LAPLACA

At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees will be able to:

1) Identify the biomechanical phenomena represented in the different types of in vitro models of traumatic neural injury.
2) Explain the advantages and disadvantages of using cells and tissues to model complex traumatic neural injury.
3) Describe the contribution of in vitro model work to our understanding of injury mechanisms and their potential for further evaluation.
4) Explain the benefit of examining injury mechanisms using both in vitro and in vivo modeling in combination with clinical observations.
