At the conclusion of this program,
the participants will be able to:
1. Define and discuss the role of the glial scar in CNS injury.
2. Identify the structure of proteoglycans (PGs), glycosaminoglycans (GAGs)
and other extracellular matrix (ECM) molecules and define their contribution(s)
to inhibition of nerve regeneration.
3. Identify the usefulness of selectively manipulating PG microdomains in vitro
and in vivo to promote neural regeneration.
