At the conclusion of this program, the participants will be able to:

•  Define and discuss the importance of monitoring protein biomarkers in biofluids for traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients.

•  Outline the current protein biomarkers and their uses in TBI

•  Explain the significance of AlphaII-Spectrin as an emerging marker for TBI

•  Outline the approaches taken to discover novel protein biomarkers and how they can be validated in both preclinical and clinical paradigms.
