•  Understand the clinical presentation of conus medullaris/cauda equina forms of spinal cord injury.

•  Describe features of clinically relevant experimental models for the study of traumatic conus medullaris/cauda equina injuries.

•  Understand the rationale for new translational research strategies aimed at restoring the function of the lower urinary tract after conus medullaris/cauda equina injuries.
