the conclusion of this lecure, the participants will be able to:
- Outline the importance of blast-induced
neurotrauma and describe related clinical findings;
- Define and discuss the pathobiology
of blast-induced neurotrauma, and differentiate primary, secondary, tertiary,
and quaternary blast-induced neurological consequences;
- Describe the currently available preclinical
models of blast-induced neurotrauma, and discuss the pros and cons of these
models;
- Discuss the most important research
directions concerning the diagnosis, monitoring, treating and mitigating blast-induced
neurotrauma.
