At the conclusion of this lecure, the participants will be able to:

  1. Outline the importance of blast-induced neurotrauma and describe related clinical findings;

  1. Define and discuss the pathobiology of blast-induced neurotrauma, and differentiate primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary blast-induced neurological consequences;

  1. Describe the currently available preclinical models of blast-induced neurotrauma, and discuss the pros and cons of these models;

  1. Discuss the most important research directions concerning the diagnosis, monitoring, treating and mitigating blast-induced neurotrauma.
