Description: A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Rodney Ritzel, Department of Neurology & The BRAINS Research Laboratory. Our research focuses on neuro-immune interactions in brain injury and aging, with special emphasis on identifying prognostic biomarkers of neurodegenerative disease and preclinical validation of novel therapeutic targets. We employ a combination of neuroscience, immunological, and vascular techniques to better understand pathological mechanisms underlying inflammatory neurodegeneration, innate immune dysfunction, and injury-induced senescence.
