DRIVING AWARENESS
Advocating for Neurotrauma Care
The Neurotrauma Society is committed to shaping policies that improve outcomes for individuals affected by traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. Through collaboration, education, and strategic partnerships, we raise awareness and advocate for systemic change—locally, nationally, and globally.
OUR MISSION
- Promote and accelerate the discovery of scientific knowledge in the fields of traumatic brain and spinal cord injury.
- Promote clinical advances and effective treatment approaches and other research-driven innovations that positively impact the care and lives of persons with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
- Increase neurotrauma awareness and education and promote community engagement.
OUR GOALS
- Advocate for the increase in research and training / education funding opportunities.
- Provide additional resources for trainees and for community/stakeholders.
- Increase general awareness of the National Neurotrauma Society and the achievements of its members and provide guidance to society members on advocacy opportunities.
- Increase general awareness of knowledge gaps regarding traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
