NNS Advocacy & Policy Committee Mission

•Promote and accelerate the discovery of scientific knowledge in the fields of traumatic brain and spinal cord injury.

•Promote clinical advances and effective treatment approaches and other research-driven innovations that positively impact the care and lives of persons with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.  

•Increase neurotrauma awareness and education and promote community engagement.

NNS Advocacy & Policy Committee Goals

•Advocate for the increase in research and training/education funding opportunities.

•Provide additional resources for trainees and for community/stakeholders.

•Increase general awareness of the National Neurotrauma Society and the achievements of its members and provide guidance to society members on advocacy opportunities.

•Increase general awareness of knowledge gaps regarding traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
