The Laboratory of Neurotrauma Research at Virginia Tech is looking for highly motivated Postdoctoral Associates with expertise in Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology, TBI/SCI or Immunology. The successful candidate will work on an interdisciplinary research project focused on murine models of brain injury and innate immune regulation. Qualified candidates will be expected to work in a team environment investigating neuroinflammation, cell signaling pathways, single cell RNAseq and targeted genetics. Our multidisciplinary approach will allow for extensive training in the molecular and cellular neuroinflammation in CNS injury models. Candidates will work alongside additional team members in the VT-School of Neuroscience, Fralin Life Science Institute and The Center for Neurotrauma Research.
Qualified candidates will receive a highly competitive salary (+60k), and additional funds for professional development (+10K) through the VT Presidential PostDoc fellowship. Additional funds will be provided for workshops, conferences, and relocation. Opportunities for VT-sponsored NIH grant writing courses and submission for career development awards.
