The National Neurotrauma Society offers two types of travel awards to ensure that undergraduate students, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are given every opportunity to attend the conference and present their work.
For the purpose of Neurotrauma registration, the definition of a “Trainee” is a member/non-member delegate who meets at least one of the following criteria:

NNS TRAVEL AWARDS
These awards recognize trainees who demonstrate scientific merit in research. A limited number of awards will be given to those trainees demonstrating merit and financial need. Any trainee that has not received a Travel Award from NNS in the past 2 years may apply.

DIVERSITY TRAVEL GRANT AWARDS
The NNS society is committed to increasing diversity. Any trainee from an underrepresented minority/group or with a documented disability that has not received a Travel Award from NNS in the past 2 years may apply. A limited number of awards will be given to those trainees demonstrating scientific merit and financial need.

HOW TO APPLY:
To apply for a travel award, you must register online, then submit an abstract in order to activate the Travel Award Application section. In the unlikely event your abstract is not accepted, a refund for your registration fee may be requested.
Step One: Register and submit your abstract online. Then you will have access to the travel award application form.
Step Two: Access the Travel Award section. The online form will collect general information and request that you upload, in PDF format, the following documents (How to convert MS Word Documents to PDF Documents?):
Step Three: Submit online form and then view the accuracy of your application. You will be able to edit it until the application process closes.
